One of the 10 largest national parks in Africa and the largest in Zimbabwe, Hwange National Park is located about a three hour drive from Victoria Falls, making this the perfect add on safari trip when you visit the falls. Hwange is well known for is diverse landscapes and its wide variety of wildlife. Set out on safari and marvel at the impressive number of elephants, once in a life time wild dog sightings and some 400 species of birds. What makes Hwange so special is its lack of crowds. Enjoy the peace and quiet while you soak up the magic of the African bush.

Day 1
On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel. The afternoon is yours at leisure to explore Victoria Falls town or perhaps add an additional experience, there are a great range of activities to choose from white water rafting along the Zambezi river, take a scenic helicopter flight over the falls or perhaps an afternoon game drive in the Zambezi National Park.
Day 2
This morning depart on a guided walking tour of the Falls. Victoria Falls are considered one of the greatest attractions in Africa and one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world, Victoria Falls is simply a must see. Considered as the largest waterfall in the world,its impressive length of more than half a mile and height of more than three hundred feet makes it easy to see why the locals call it Mosi-oa-Tunya “The smoke that thunders”. The rest of the day is at your leisure, until your sunset cruise along the magnificent Zambezi River. (B)
Day 3
Transfer by road to Hwange Main Camp where you will be met and transferred to your chosen lodge. Hwange is one of the ten largest national parks in Africa and the largest in Zimbabwe making this the perfect add on safari when visiting Victoria Falls. Hwange is well known for having an abundance of wildlife with over 100 different animals and some 400 species of birds. The park is home to one of the largest populations of the endangered wild dog in Africa and numerous lion prides. However, it is the elephants that truly make Hwange so spectacular, with one of the world’s largest population of around 50,000 of them calling the park home. Head out on your first game drive. Day 4
Enjoy early morning and afternoon game drives searching for wildlife. Animals frequently encountered include lion, elephant, buffalo, cheetah, leopard, spotted hyena, giraffe, blue wildebeest, impala, waterbuck and reedbuck. In summer, wildebeest, zebra and eland are found in abundance on the open plains, while in winter elephant congregate in enormous numbers around the waterholes. (B)(L)(D)
Day 5
Enjoy morning and afternoon game activities, from walking safaris, time at the photographic hide, cultural visits and evening game drives. For the adventurous a star bed sleep out experience can be organized, giving you the opportunity to sleep beneath the canopy of a million stars. (B)(L)(D)
Day 6
After an early morning game activity you will be transferred by road back to Victoria Falls for your onward arrangements. (B)
