Oslo, the capital of Norway is a vibrant city facing the beautiful Oslofjord and is filled with historic sights, museums, stunning parks, and a variety of restaurants serving authentic food. Oslo is also famous for its outdoor activities like kayaking, biking, hiking, sailing, and skiing. Join a 2-hour private walking tour and discover the city through a local guide's eyes. Pass the historic City Hall, the Opera House, Royal Palace, the medieval Akershus Fortress, Karl Johan's main shopping street, and the charming Aker Brygge with all the outdoor restaurants and cafés.

Day 2

OSLO – SVOLVÆR

Today board a domestic flight from Oslo to Svolvær Airport and transfer to your hotel. The main town of the Lofoten Islands is full of natural beauty and attracts nature lovers year after year for the spectacular lights, whether it is on the long summer nights, or for the Aurora Borealis in wintertime. The picturesque villages, fisher cabins, steep mountains, and the clean blue water – everything creates the magic and uniqueness on these stunning islands. (B)

Day 3

SVOLVÆR

Taste the Lofoten in many ways through culture, history, nature, and local food. On this 5-hour tour, your host will guide you through the picturesque landscape, typical for the Lofoten islands. Along the way you stop at historical sites, beaches, and the mandatory photo stops that you cannot miss in Kabelvåg, Lyngvær, Hov, and Henningsvær. You can sit back and enjoy the scenery while the guide introduces you to the fishing culture and history, plus a taste of Lofoten. At Hov beach, you are served coffee and the traditional lefse. Whether you choose to wander on your own to absorb the never-ending horizon or let the guide tell you stories about the way of life on the coast, you are sure to enjoy it. (B)

Day 4

SVOLVÆR

Today we suggest joining a private guided trip to Vesterålen, which has several unique things to offer – go by ferry through Fiskebøl to Melbu, visit Stokmarkes and the Hurtigruten Museum – or get an insight into the Sami culture at Inga who sings joiks and make coffee and berry juice for you in her tipi. You could also choose to go on a whale safari from Andenes on a full-day tour – or maybe visit a true local and hear about how it is to live and stay in Lofoten during the whole year. (B)

Day 5

SVOLVÆR – OSLO

Today take a domestic flight back to Oslo from Svolvær Airport. Arrive in Oslo – we suggest you join one of our many optional tours in the Norwegian capital – perhaps try out Shellfish tasting at one of Norway's absolute finest restaurants in Aker Brygge, with fish served from Lofoten. (B)
