Africa is full of unforgettable experiences that are just waiting to be discovered. Every corner of this unrivaled continent has a different personality and offering. Since we love this area so much, we thought we’d highlight some unforgettable experiences in Africa.

Seek out the Big Five at Sabi Sands, South Africa

Sabi Sands Game Reserve is widely known as the best wildlife viewing location in Africa. Its abundance of wildlife and lush savanna offers the perfect grounds for wildlife to thrive. In Sabi Sands Game Reserve, you’ll almost feel as the wildlife is in the queue as you tick off the Big Five during your stay.

Spend the night in a Sky Bed in South Africa

Million Star accommodation is an experience that has no rival. You’ll have game viewing opportunities from your Sky Bed and seclusion away from the world that will help reconnect you with nature. The night sky is often the highlight for many in these sky beds, as millions of stars are unhindered and in full view.

Sample the many flavours of South Africa’s Winelands

Outside of Cape Town, you will find the charming villages of Stellenbosch, Paarl, and Franschhoek. The Winelands are renowned as a great place to spend a couple of days sampling award-winning wines and cuisine. Better yet, pair it with the Garden Route to sample more great flavors, such as fresh Olives in Prince Albert, and seek out dazzling scenic landscapes along the coast, such as Outeniqua Pass on the way to Knysna.

Uncover the beauty of Victoria Falls

The greatest falls in Africa, half a million cubic meters of water plummet over the edge. The thunder of the cascading water can be heard almost five kilometers away with the spray visible for up to 50 kilometers, a truly awe-inspiring sight.

Discover the diversity of Botswana

With an unusual amalgamation of desert and delta, Botswana draws an immense concentration of wildlife to its multitude of wetlands in the winter and an incredible collection of birdlife during the summer. Experience sunsets over cosmic skylines, the world’s largest intact delta, remote saltpans, skies spoiled with stars of astonishing brilliance.

Witness the unique behaviour of the Elephants at Mfuwe Lodge in South Luangwa

Regarded as the home of the walking safari, the South Luangwa National Park has a great number of zebra, giraffe, leopard, buffalo, impala, and lion roaming the plains while hippos occupy the riverine stretches.

Mfuwe lodge though is a little unique as it’s in the middle of a popular route for some local elephants to feast on the fallen fruits from the large Wild Mango tree in the lodge grounds. Watch them parade through the property on this video.

Marvel at the dunes of Sossusvlei

Namibia is full of epic landscapes and Sossusvlei is easily the most stunning. This sheer striking expanse feels almost like it’s part of another world and is definitely a must-visit if you’re thinking of traveling to Namibia. Reaching as high as 325m, the dunes are part of one of the oldest and driest ecosystems on earth. Despite its age, the colors shift with the light and the wind alters the shape of the dunes, offering plenty of photo opportunities for each time of day.

Have a once in a lifetime experience with Mountain Gorillas

Famous not only for their scenic beauty, with sloping hills, jagged mountains, and vast rivers and lakes, Rwanda & Uganda are home to the rare mountain gorillas. As Rwanda & Uganda’s most famous residents, the endangered mountain gorilla is the largest of the living primates. Living in the rainforests at heights ranging from 1,520 to 3,650 meters, the endangered gorillas are highly intelligent and surprise many with their shy and gentle nature.

Tracking the rare mountain gorillas in their natural habitats in Volcanoes National Park or Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is one of the most awe-inspiring, thrilling, and poignant wildlife experiences imaginable. Below is a video from one of our staff who experienced this earlier this year!

Whether your dream experience is experiencing the magic of mountain gorillas in Uganda, witnessing the spectacle of the Great Wildebeest Migration in Kenya and Tanzania, or paddling a mokoro through the Okavango Delta, we have the perfect journey for you.
